Caucasian Shepherd Dog Training Tips

They are bold, confident dogs who instinctively protect their territory and family members. They require a lot of room to run around and aren’t suited to apartments.

They are prone to bark at strangers. This could cause issues when it’s not dealt with in the beginning with the instructor. They are extremely connected to their families and are able to get along with children, as long as children treat them with respect.

They may get overly exuberant during playtime and may cross paths with children if not properly controlled. Before you allow your dog to play with children, you must establish basic commands and limits.

This breed isn’t an ideal candidate for one-size-fits-every-dog’s training. It could be detrimental. This is because they were bred to be independent and make their own choices, not to obey commands.

Keep their ears clear and trim their nails when required and clean their teeth 3 times per every day to avoid dental issues. They also require a diet that is of good quality and suitable for their size, as many large dogs. Talk to your vet about the particular health and nutritional requirements for this breed.
